The Cree Nation of Nemaska calls for election for the Office of Deputy Chief

The term of office ends when a new Deputy Chief is elected during the Council general elections to be held in February 2023. Nominations for the office of Deputy Chief may be made by filing a written nomination paper with the Returning Officer before 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd of February 2022. Nomination papers may be obtained from the Returning Officer and at the Band Office Reception.

Where a vote is required, the election poll for the office of Deputy Chief will be held on the 16th day of March 2022 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Hall. An advanced poll for those electors who are unable to vote on Election Day will be held on the 10th day of March 2022 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Hall.A travelling poll to accommodate members that reside at their bush camp or members with disabilities such as elders will be held on March 10 and March 16 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Any elector who does not reside within the Category 1A Lands of the Cree Nation of Nemaska may vote by fax provided or by mail.
