Public Health and Safety

The Department of Public Health and Safety is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing programs related to general public health, hygiene, and sanitation practices as well as security and safety practices, fire services, and emergency services in the community.
Fire-protection personnel are required to participate in various training programs to be kept up to date with the best fire-protection practices. Some of these training programs are offered by the CNG.

The Public Safety Department also offers search-and-rescue services and is qualified to perform:
– Ice rescue
– High-rise rescue
– Water rescue
– Closed-space rescue

The Department of Public Health and Safety is divided in several

– First responders
– Covid-19 services
– Animal Control
